Godzilla Xanthi Trail 7km Race Information

ROUTE LENGTH: 7 km
PLACE OF EVENT:  Xanthi
START TIME: 09:25 a.m.
START AND FINISH POINT: Location Thilia
ELIGIBILITY: Athletes who have completed the 12th year of age are allowed to participate.
PARTICIPATION FEE:
15€ (Includes: Athlete’s participation number, Commemorative engraved Medal, Electronic participation certificate, water, isotonic drinks and snacks, Commemorative technical T-Shirt.)

ROUTE
The race will follow a circular course. The 6km are forest roads and 1km of paths with a positive altitude difference of 200m. is addressed to everyone and is considered ideal for introduction to the mountainous terrain. It is an easy route and aims to bring young and old in contact with nature.

PRIZES – AWARDS
Winners are declared  the three (3) first men and the first three women overall.
– Cups will be awarded to the the first winners.
– Medals and certificated will be awarded to the first, second and third winners.
– A commemorative medal and an electronic certificate will be given to all finishers.

RRUNNERS WHO QUIT THE RACE
A Volunteer of the organizing committee will follow the  last runners to support  athletes who quit. Those who quit and do not need medical support can wait at the supply/water stations until a car of the event  takes them to the finish.

SUPPORT STATIONS
Along the route there will be one (1) supply/water station at 5.1 km and at the finish.
CAUTION: It is forbidden to throw objects and garbage in the environment/forest.If otherwise,  the athlete is  disqualified immediately.

ROUTE MARKING
The route will be marked with signs, colors on the ground-trees and warning tape. At key points along the way, and if the above materials may be considered insufficient, there will be volunteers to guide the athletes.

TIME LIMIT
There will be no time limit.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT – BACKPACKS
There is no mandatory equipment for athletes. Carrying water bags or backpacks or waistbags is generally allowed. The use of walking sticks is also allowed. The athlete may leave his/her backpack along the route at the central stop points on his/her own responsibility.

ELECTRONIC TIMING AND RESULTS
The electronic timing will be performed by a timing company. Runners must wear the timing chip they receive along with their entry number from the registration center.
Attention: Your time will not be recorded and you will not be included in the results if you do not have the timing chip worn/placed on you and do not go over the timing mats.

EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE
Any external assistance to the athletes is not allowed, by anyone. If otherwise, the athlete to whom the assistance was offered is automatically disqualified. People without a race number are allowed to accompany the athletes. The athlete is also allowed to be accompanied by familiar people in the last meters of the route.

RACE PACK DISTRIBUTION
From the central square of Xanthi in a specially designated area in front of the entrance of the City Hall. The race office will serve the runners on Saturday 18-05-2024 from 10:00 to 19:00 and on Sunday 19-05-2024 from 07:30 to 8:45 at the start of the race at Thilia.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS MANAGEMENT
The competing participants will give – receive their personal belongings, at the starting point. Athletes are also asked not to carry any valuables in their bag. The  organisers do not bear any responsibility for any loss of items.
